Professional Expectations is one of three components in the Teacher Appraisal and Development System (TADS) and is weighted at 20% of a teacher’s Summative Rating. The Professional Expectations Rubric is a set of nine professional standards applicable to all teachers in the district. The rubric is used to provide teachers with ratings throughout the appraisal year. Ratings for individual criteria range from four (highly effective) to one (ineffective) with performance characteristics outlined for levels of effectiveness. It is a district-wide expectation for teachers to achieve a rating of level three (effective).
