2018 Educators Connect for Success: Shaping Future-Ready Learners
NEW! Portrait of a Graduate Pre-conference: June 18
Battelle for Kids invites you to attend this exciting pre-conference to learn more about how education leaders across the nation can establish significant engagement and support for a Portrait of a Graduate, a vision for 21st century learning that is locally developed, but globally positioned.
School systems are strengthened when communities are engaged in shaping the future direction of their schools through the design of a Portrait of a Graduate. The Portrait of a Graduate becomes the “North Star” for transforming school systems to provide educational experiences that intentionally cultivate the competencies, including 21st century skills, mindsets, and literacies essential for students to be effective lifelong learners and contributors.
Educators Connect for Success Conference: June 19–20
As educators, we are charged with ensuring students have educational experiences that prepare them to become lifelong learners and contributors in the 21st century. Now more than ever, these experiences must not only provide for the acquisition of rigorous academic content, but must also be more intentional in cultivating skills, mindsets, and literacies essential for students to become lifelong learners and contributors in this complex, rapidly changing world. The world is a different place for today’s graduates, requiring school systems to ENVISION, EMPOWER, and ENGAGE. This year’s conference learning strands reflect those ideals.
