It takes teamwork to make the dream work

Spotlight on Switzerland of Ohio

by Linda Knicely, Consultant | Jun 08, 2015

Bobbi Jo Johnson, Literacy Coach, and Jennifer Bohach,Jennifer and Bobbi Jo School Counselor, two field educators from one of the newest OAC member districts, Switzerland of Ohio, are known for their innovative approaches. Often their district communication centers around clarification on new initiatives they’re exploring and assurance that they’re interpreting tasks correctly.

Their energy and enthusiasm is contagious, and the changes over just one school year that Switzerland of Ohio has accomplished is impressive. Certainly, it “takes a village” and there are many in the district that have contributed to the gains over the past year that are represented in the corresponding infographic. But, I’d be remiss if I didn’t tip my hat to these two busy district leaders. The idea for sharing this district’s successes evolved from a casual conversation among the three of us at the most recent SOAR LLC Workshop. They shared where they were a year ago and where they are now in a multitude of areas. I was so impressed with their improvement and wanted to immediately share and celebrate their successes as we continue to work on the work at hand and share and collaborate in the future. I hope you’re as inspired as I am.
