It takes teamwork to make the dream work

OAC Weekly Snapshot, June 9-13

by | Jun 13, 2014
It's Friday the 13th and it's a full moon, do you have any spooky plans? Superstitious warnings for your fellow OAC educators?? Well, since this lunar coincidence won't happen again until 2049, we thought we'd share what's been happening during this super-natural, super-unique week.

Highlights

  • Last CLP Meeting – We were so happy to bring all of our CLPs together one last time this week at Cherry Valley Lodge. Our CLPs have worked very hard over the last four years to bring cohesion to the work of the OAC in each of their districts. They have each grown tremendously, both professionally and personally, and we thank them for their contributions to this important work. We will certainly be utilizing their skills and knowledge as we move forward with the Straight A work, and their districts will benefit greatly from their experience as a CLP.
  • OAC Twitter Chats Taking a Break for Summer – The #OACteach Twitter chats have been a great success this spring. Thanks to all who have participated and hosted. We’ve learned a lot together by discussing a variety of topics, including personalized learning, grading practices, teamwork and collaboration, student growth measures, and more. All chats are archived on the OAC Collaboration Space. Over the summer we are taking a break from organized weekly chats, but we encourage you to continue to share with your OAC peers using the hashtag #OACteach. We’ll pick back up again in August.

Resources and Discussions

So many great discussions and resources have been added on the OAC Collaboration Space (use your Ohio Portal username and password to log in). Take time this summer to explore everything as you plan for next year. Check out the latest and greatest resources available to you, and don't forget those that have been shared through the OAC blog and Twitter @OHAppCollab.
