It takes teamwork to make the dream work

OAC Weekly Snapshot June 2-6

by User Not Found | Jun 06, 2014
Whew, this week flew by, but here are some highlights from our week:

  • OAC Recognized for Dual Enrollment Best Practices – The OAC was highlighted in a report on making dual enrollment work in rural schools by the Education Commission of the States. We're honored to be a part of such an innovative endeavor. Thanks to all of our districts and higher education partners for their hard work!

  • Retiring OAC Superintendents At the most recent CORAS meeting several Superintendents were honored as they finish their last few days in school. We will greatly miss the support and leadership of Jill Grubb of Batavia and Mike Staggs of New Boston, both of whom are retiring this year. We wish you both the best in your new adventure!

  • OAC Twitter Chats Taking a Break for Summer – The #OACteach Twitter chats have been a great success this spring. Thanks to all who have participated and hosted. We’ve learned a lot together by discussing a variety of topics, including personalized learning, grading practices, teamwork and collaboration, student growth measures, and more. All chats are archived on the OAC Collaboration Space. Over the summer we are taking a break from organized weekly chats, but we encourage you to continue to share with your OAC peers using the hashtag #OACteach. We’ll pick back up again in August.
