  • Join OAC Twitter Chats Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
We held our first Twitter chat this past Wednesday and it was a great success! The chat focused on FIP and was hosted by Alea Barker (@AleaBarker). Educators from eight OAC districts participated. You can find an archive of this week's chat on the Collaboration Space here.

These chats will continue weekly on Wednesdays at 8 p.m.  Join us next week! All you have to do is log into Twitter at the time of the chat, search the hashtag #OACteach, and watch and participate in the conversation. If you tweet, make sure to include the hashtag!

  • Earn Professional Practice Badges!
We're so excited about the new badge in the professional practice badge series—the Tweet Badge! Already three OAC educators have earned the Tweet Badge. By earning the Tweet Badge, you will learn the basics of Twitter and how to use Twitter to connect with other educators and enhance your practice. Get started now! Click here to download the Tweet Badge Requirements document.

Already have a Twitter account? No problem, you can still complete the badge—you just have a head start!

Don't forget about the Personalized Learning Share Badge. This is another great opportunity for you to connect, learn, and share with your OAC peers on the Collaboration Space around personalized learning. See what others have been sharing and start earning your Share Badge now!

Please contact Julie Vujevich with questions.

New Resources and Discussion

  • PARCC Field Testing Sites
Is your district a PARCC testing site? If so, share your experience in this thread. Help your fellow OAC districts prepare for these new assessments by sharing your lessons learned.
  • Walk-Throughs That Work
Jim Rhodes shared his experience with walk-throughs at Warren Local in this thread. He's intrigued by the idea of partnering with another teacher on walk-throughs, what do you think?
