  • Collaborative Opportunities – A team from Georgetown Exempted Village Schools was invited to attend a national conference on effective implementation of college- and career-ready standards through labor management collaboration. Learn more about this experience as shared by Georgetown's CLP Faith Ecker (@FaithEcker).

  • Have you earned your Personalized Learning Share Badge?  – OAC/TIF educators can now earn a Personalized Learning Share Badge on the OAC Collaboration Space (use your Ohio Portal username and password to log in). This is the first badge of a series of professional practice badges educators can earn throughout the remainder of the school year. Badges will serve as endorsements of knowledge and skills by recognizing professional learning, demonstrated expertise, and other achievements. Earning badges will help you enhance your practice and connect with your OAC peers. And, depending on district approval, you can also earn CEU credit for completing a badge!

So far, teachers from Maysville, Georgetown, Coshocton, Indian Valley and Morgan have earned the Share Badge. Way to go! Don't see your district on this list?
Get started now. Please share this opportunity with educators throughout your district! Visit the PL Share Badge: Sharing Best Practices discussion to see our growing list of personalized learning best practices. If you have questions, please contact Julie Vujevich.

New Resources and Discussions

Discussions and resources continue to grow on the OAC Collaboration Space (use your Ohio Portal username and password to log in). Here are some of the latest conversations and resources, including a few shared through the OAC blog and Twitter @OHAppCollab:

  • STEM - What are others doing? What STEM practices and projects are you offering and completing with your students? What professional development opportunities do you have? Join the conversation and share your thoughts here. Thanks to Suellen Coleman for getting the conversation started!

  • Unit Organizer Samples – At the CLP meeting there were several requests for digital copies of the Unit Organizer samples, just remember these are "samples" not necessarily exemplars, but a great first effort by early adopters! Download here.

  • Response to Intervention Resources – Dr. Antoinette Miranda of OSU led great conversations at the LLC Workshops this year. Download resources from her session here.

  • Principal's Toolkit Need help communicating with teachers and families about changes in Ohio education? Check out the Ohio Department of Education’s recently updated Principal’s Toolkit.
