  • Straight A Meeting--This week we had a chance to sit down with implementation teams from all of our Straight A districts! It was a very important meeting and we really appreciate you guys making such an effort to bring a full team--especially during OGT week! There was a lot of honest and frank discussion about the challenges and opportunities this grant affords us, and we are very excited for the work ahead! Our team is working to compile all of the feedback and respond to all of the questions. Brad will be sending out his weekly email with lots of info and hopefully get at some of the questions from Tuesday. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions!
  • CLP Meeting--CLPs were finally able to gather in Columbus, despite frigid temperatures and the threat of snow! There was a lot to discuss, including Common Core, Straight A, the Share Badge and Collaboration Space scavenger hunt, and, of course, there was collaboration time. Thank you, CLPs, for all you do!
  • New Opportunity for Educators: Earn a Personalized Learning Share Badge – OAC/TIF educators can now earn a Personalized Learning Share Badge on the OAC Collaboration Space (use your Ohio Portal username and password to log in). This is the first badge of a series of professional practice badges educators can earn throughout the remainder of the school year. Badges will serve as endorsements of knowledge and skills by recognizing professional learning, demonstrated expertise, and other achievements. Earning badges will help you enhance your practice and connect with your OAC peers. And, depending on district approval, you can also earn CEU credit for completing a badge!

So far, five teachers from Maysville, Georgetown, Coshocton, Indian Valley and Morgan have earned the Share Badge! Don't see your district on this list? Get started now!

Many of you have started the process and are near completion—don't forget to complete all four steps! We encourage all of you to share this opportunity with your schools and districts. Visit the PL Share Badge: Sharing Best Practices discussion to see our growing list of personalized learning best practices.

If you have questions, please contact Julie Vujevich.
