The Implementing Evidence-Based Grading module prepare educators to:

  • Understand how evidence-based grading is an essential element of formative instructional practice.
  • Understand how to create a master rubric, the backbone of evidence-based grading.
  • Understand how to use master rubrics to implement evidence-based grading.


This module contains three segments. 

We recommend taking a blended learning approach, where each segment is discussed with others to put the ideas into action. Prior knowledge of formative instructional practices is recommended.
