Welcome Mississippi Educators

Through this site, Mississippi's K−12 educators can build their capacity to implement formative instructional practices (FIP) to accelerate student learning.

Formative instructional practices (FIP) are the formal and informal ways that teachers and students gather and respond to evidence of learning.

Using a blended learning model of 15 interactive online courses and high-quality, face-to-face professional development, we are helping Mississippi teachers and leaders embrace formative instructional practices as part of their school culture.

Beginning in the spring 2013, 10 TIF schools will receive the first opportunity to access these courses and engage in professional development. Learn more.

Battelle for Kids, in partnership with Pearson Assessment Training Institute (ATI), created this series of formative instruction practices learning paths, which are grounded in leading experts' assessment for learning principles.
