The HISD Board voted on June 9 to not extend the district’s contract with SAS EVAAS®. Therefore, EVAAS value-added metrics for the 2015–2016 school year and future student projections will not be calculated. EVAAS data used in the Teacher Appraisal and Development System (TADS) and the ASPIRE award model will no longer be available starting with the 2015-2016 analyses. Alternate award indicators are being discussed, and further communication will be sent out when a decision has been made.
The SAS EVAAS website currently displays data from the 2014–2015 school year and will be available until September 2016. All prior year teacher-level EVAAS reports are still available through the ASPIRE portal. If you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
