HISD is pleased to announce that on January 27, 2010, nearly $40.4 million in ASPIRE awards was distributed across 15,688 campus-based staff members whose work led to increased student academic achievement and progress levels during the 2008–2009 school year. 

The total amount awarded increased from approximately $31.5 million last year as a result of the significant gains our employees helped our students to make this past year, and to increased award maximums made possible by funding from the State of Texas through its District Awards for Teacher Excellence (D.A.T.E.) grant.

We are proud to recognize and celebrate the impact of our highly effective teachers and campuses in accelerating student progress and achievement and thank them for their commitment to provide all HISD students with the best learning experience possible!

Help to keep the students and staff healthy, safe and happy by doing all the amazing things that school nurses do. I also am always available to lend an ear to listen to them and give a big smile when only a simple thing is needed.
